Fairy Fantasy

Tastefully Entertaining put together this inspiration board for a Fairy Party. I love the cupcakes.

Apple Candles

Simply Stated featured this quick and easy Candle Carver from Kitchen Kapers. The carver cuts easily through apples, pears, squash, and pumpkins. I thought it was such a cute idea for Fall.

Fab Flick

If your looking for a good flick and haven't seen it, rent Danny Deckchair. It's the sweetest romantic comedy about a man who gets bored on Holiday and decides to tie helium balloons to his chair and fly. My bro introduced me to it a couple of years ago and it's become a family favorite.

Elegant Edibles

Such PRETTY pretend treats at Ginger Blossoms.

Witchy Poo

We finally made it down to see the witches. We were cutting it close but I'm glad we made the trip, for once again the witches did not disappoint.

I Like To Ride My Bicycle

If I had a bike, which I don't because we all know I like to stay as unaerobic as possible, then it would be one of these old bikes with a big metal basket. I would want to deliver something every day to my favorite neighbors. Maybe some baked goods, a neighborly newsletter, or some roses from my garden. Or I could just buy the painting.

Winding Down

Tonight, after one of the funniest things I've ever seen, a bunch of first grade boys attempting to play basketball, I am looking forward to and am most excited for my night with Lipstick Jungle, 90210, and my Diet Coke.

Illuminate

I love Martha's Celestial Pumpkins. Since we haven't gotten around to the carving yet I may try this to light up my Halloween Night. She's got a really cute Halloween idea for every day this week so check it out.

Lunch Anyone

Another great find! These lunch boxes are from Sweet Mady's Paper. Michelle over there is so nice and has the cutest products.

Cuppies

How cute are these cupcake huggers from Yummy Cuppie Crafts? Wrap them around your cupcakes to match your party's theme. Or once again, for you crafty ones, these would be pretty easy to make.

Wallpaper Dreams

I went in a friend's house the other day and she had a whole basement bedroom covered in wallpaper and I said "Oh, did you do this, I love it!" And she said, "No, that was here when we bought the house and it is the first thing to go." It was so pretty to me though. I am finding myself really drawn to Wallpaper lately.

The Best Time Of Day

Every morning, while it's still dark outside and the rest of the family's still asleep, I share a moment with G that I cherish. He comes out with his sleepy eyes and ruffled hair and gives me a big hug. He sits down to have his breakfast and tells me all the things he is looking forward to that day and everything that I need to remember to do for him. I love that there is only the one light on above the sink, and it is so quiet and he is so loving and innocent.

Hang On

Don't you love these Flower Magnet Hooks from Three by Three.

Connect Four

My parents picked up a game of Connect Four the other day. The kids loved playing it and I loved watching it because it is a game I played so many times as a child. They wanted to go back the next day just to play again. I love games that have been around forever because you just know they are good.

Hair Days

I'm glad that I have a daughter who likes to make my hair all pretty.

Wrap It Up

I want to give all of you a present Wrapped Up in this pretty paper by Erin Ruth.

Buried Alive

These buried alive cupcakes are funny if you need something quick and easy to bring to your Halloween parties this week. Via Cookie Magazine

Karate Kiss

Have any of you watched the Karate Kid lately? Well, we found my mom's old video and Gabe wants to watch it all the time now. So I decided to sit down one day and watch it with him and boy I am glad I did. The Kissing Scene is the most hilarious thing I have ever watched! I found out, much to my disappointment, that Karate Kid Can't Kiss. Find the movie and watch it just for the Kiss. You won't be sorry.

I Love My Pants

Today I am wearing and Loving my Editor Pants from Express. I'm so glad I splurged!

Chic Chef

I know these hip mama aprons are no new thing but I still haven't gotten myself one and I really liked this one from Nest.

Confessions

I have a confession to make....I'm Bored! In my seven years as a SAHM I have enjoyed every minute of it. I have NEVER felt bored. I've always loved my "job". I have been so thankful to be able to experience every moment with each of my children growing up. But this past month or so, I find my self longing to be other places. Experience things I've never had a chance to do. I know it sounds so selfish, but it's this overwhelming feeling that's come over me and I don't quite know what to do about it. Is it that I'm nearing thirty? Is it that I went to NYC and saw people living a life that was so completely opposite of mine it was crazy? I don't know. I walk around my perfectly cleaned house every day almost wanting to mess it up just so I can have something to do. I thought having three kids I'd be busier than ever, but I'm not busy at all! I'm sorry to admit, my diaper changing, macaroni making days are a bore to me lately. I know I don't want a job because I am definitely not a schedule kind of gal, but I think it's time for a hobby. Suggestions Please!!! *And none of that just be thankful you do get to be home, and enjoy every moment you've got. I've heard it all and I do those things.

Fall Centerpieces

They have some great ideas for elegant, easy to make Fall Centerpieces over at BHG.

All Wrapped Up

I've noticed cute scarfs all over the place. I see all the teens even wearing them with tshirts. It kind of makes me think they might be hiding something. No, seriously, I think they are a really fun trend but I feel nervous to go for it. I think I might buy one and try it. I'll let you know how it goes.

My Collection

For some reason I am really drawn to the idea of my kids having a collection. I figure they have a dad who gets to go really cool places all the time and it would be good for them to collect things from the places. My problem is what to have them collect. I want it to be something unusual rather than the everyday magnet collection. What do you collect?

Monster Toes

So my sister was over here today looking for Halloween Appetizers for a party tomorrow and I'm hoping she looks at this because I've found the perfect thing. Monster Toes! They're made of her very favorite snack in the whole world Beeny Weeny's. I know how she secretly sneaks a can a day!

P.S. This post is totally a joke. Ashley would throw up if she even had to touch a Beeny Weeny!

Cabbage CREEPY

Hey, I'm all for Patriotism and teaching our kids about it, but doesn't this CREEP you out just a little bit? What have they gone on done to the poor Cabbage Patch?

Little Lion

I wish I had this Lion Beanie for Wade. Too late, but too cute!

ABC Freeze

Alphabet Ice is always Nice!

A Night At The Ballet

My mom took me to The Nutcracker many times as a young girl and I have always loved it. I can't wait to take Paige this year. We just bought our tickets today. Weber State has their tickets on sale now. You can also see it at the Capitol Theatre in SLC.

Pretty Pomegranates

Today, I am excited about my big bowl of beautiful Pomegranates from my Grandma Lois's tree. They make me miss St. George. Here is my mom's yummy recipe for Dixie Salad. It's a great salad for the holidays.

Mix:
1 can of fruit cocktail
1 can of pineapple tidbits
1 can of mandarin oranges
Cut up apples and pomegranates (as much as you want)

Fold in:
1 mixture of either vanilla or lemon pudding, about 4 oz of cool whip and one package of colored mini marshmallows.

Jewelery Boxes

I have always loved PB Kid's Jewelery Boxes. They are on sale this week only for 30% off with free shipping. The sale only lasts until Thursday so act fast.

Little Black Dress

I am on a quest in search of the perfect "Little Black Dress". I'm pretty picky in that it needs to be opera worthy but still okay for church. I've found a few, but if you know of any let me know.

Yummy Gift Idea

These Philosophy 3-in-1 shampoo, body wash, bubble bath smell so yummy you can seriously almost eat them. You can get some delicious flavors like, sweet creamy frosting, hot cocoa, red velvet cake, raspberry sorbet, strawberry milkshake, and cinnamon buns. Macy's has some darling gift sets like this recipe box one or there's a Christmas recipe book that holds 6 scents. They would make excellent holiday gifts.

Culinary Kids

I have found something that looks so fun! For Your Kitchen in the Newgate Mall, right here in O-town offers monthly culinary classes for kids on Saturdays. For the months of November and December they will have their Thanksgiving and Christmas Editions where the kids will make and take home goodies and a cooking tool. It's only $15/kid.

Pumpkin Laughs

I like these pumpkins with teeth from Pumpkin Way. They make me Laugh!

My Favorite Fruity Friend

Today I wish I had one of my very favorite Japanese Apple Pears. I guess the correct term is Nashi Pear, but I grew up calling them Japanese Apple Pears, I don't know why. Every year my mom's Japanese friend Mrs. Taketa brings me a brown lunch bag full of these apple pears. I look forward to it every time and am so sad when they are gone. They are hard to find and practically unafforadable in the store so my one bag full is all I get. If you can get your hands on one, try it. They are delicious!

Baby Mama

So, the idea of having a surrogate mother carry a child for us has been running through my head for some time lately. I do not do so well in the department of carrying children, so I was thinking that maybe one of my friends or family members could carry the child for us. I just saw a story where a grandmother carried her 3 triplet grandchildren. Well, so I started looking into it and playing around with the idea and I found out that it would cost between $60,000 and $80,000! Holy Magoly! That's one PRICEY baby. Exnay on that idea.

Housewife Swap

As I was folding my laundry tonight, I came up with a Brilliant Beyond Brilliant Idea. You see I SO MUCH DESPISE doing laundry. Sometimes I feel like I may die if I have to even look at it. Well, you know how they have the show Wife Swap. Well, what if we could somehow pull off a Housewife Chore Swap. I know there is someone out there who LOVES doing laundry, just as I love cleaning! Maybe you could come and do my laundry once a week and I could mop all your floors and clean all your windows for the rest of our lives! Just an idea. I'm sure it would never work because I don't know if I'd dare let any of you near all my "personables". Still, it would be nice.

*After I wrote this tonight me and Dean found all these funny pictures on Flikr called Death By Laundry. They made me laugh. At least I'm not the only one!

Bling Bling

If I Could I Would have this Bling Baby Shower for all 9 of my pretty pregnant blogging friends. Hey, Maybe I Should!
