U-Days

We had a super fun weekend. Our little city of Uintah hosted their annual U-Days festivals. It kicked off with a parade that the kids got to be in. They looked so cute on their decorated bikes. I got a little heat stroke trying to run to catch up with them and take pictures though so I wasn't much fun the rest of the day. They had a carnival over at the park with lots of fun stuff and then we enjoyed the fantastic fireworks that night. I really do love this little place. I'm glad my kids get to grow up in a place where everyone knows everyone. Yeah Uintah!

Lagoon

We went to Lagoon for Gabe's birthday and he got to bring his best cousin Abe. We have season passes this year so I'm sure you'll be hearing a lot about Lagoon. The kids love it there and were even brave enough to try out some of the big rides this time.

Summer Fun

I know that I haven't posted for a long time, but I really haven't done anything too exciting. My kids had their first taste of summer the other day. We got to get the slip n slide out and they were all in heaven, especially Wade. Of course it's gotten cold again, but at least we can feel it coming.

Happy Easter

We had a wonderful Easter weekend this year. The kids were old enough to actually get it and join in on the festivities. We hit two easter egg hunts and came out with buckets full of toys and candy. I get a little competitive at these things so the kids made me extra proud this year. Easter morning the kids had a scavenger hunt for their baskets which they loved and then we had a yummy ham dinner that night. I love the spring and I love Easter!

Little Skiers!

We took our annual ski trip up to Alta this month. My dad's boss has a cabin right on the ski hill that she lets us stay in. This was Paige's first attempt at skiing and she did great. She smiled the whole time. Gabe has learned before so he was able to just enjoy it this time. He skied for a couple of hours the first day and then the whole second day. He did awesome. I love skiing so of course this made me proud. The kids also had a great time sledding and playing with their cousins.

Happy Birthday To Wade

Our little Wade turned 1 yesterday. We love him so much and are happy he's doing so well and getting so big. For his party I made him a super cute train cake which he attacked of course. He wasn't sure about all the attention, but he knew he liked the cake!

Okay, I think it seriously snowed another foot here last night and it's getting a little ridiculous and depressing. This is where I really wish I was. It is the Grand Wailea in Maui and ever since I was a little girl I have wished I could stay there. Does anyone want to come?

Funny Wade

For those of you who know Wade, he's kind of grumpy, and it's pretty rare that someone can actually make him laugh. For some reason the kids really had him going today.

A Night At The Opera

We had a fun date night last night with Dane and Tracy. We went to the opera Tosca in Salt Lake and ate at the Macaroni Grill. For those of you who don't know, Dean and Dane are crazy opera fans. They know pretty much anything and everything about it, even our dogs have the privilege of being named after opera characters. For those of you who've never experienced it, you should. I mostly just like it because it's a chance to get dressed up and eat somewhere nice.
