Let's say your were attending a Holiday Party tonight and you were asked to bring CHILI (not as the main course but as a topping for potatoes), do you bring homemade or canned? I don't really care about the time involved with making chili because I love to cook, it's just that for some reason I can't picture homemade chili atop potatoes. I only think of canned. Why is that? I want the truth on what you would all really do!

I really can't imagine the homemade chili on top of baked potatoes eitehr. So, I'd probably go with the canned stuff. Just dump it into a nice serving dish first. :o)
I love all the cool links you've posted. So sweet!
Here in NC when we order a chili baked potato it is chili. Not hotdog chili out of a can but chili with hamburger, kidney beans, onions, peppers, etc. We usually top it off with cheddar cheese. It is very good! Anyhoo... hope that helps.
I vote canned chili. spruced up with some own seasoning, (a bit of brown sugar to sweeten it a bit is always nice, and pairs well with a sharp cheddar) and in a pretty dish.
I'd say save yourself the time and do canned. You'd hate to make homemade and not have many eat it. I love chili on my potatoes but I bet not many more people do.. Just my opinion!! I just asked Kurt, he just likes cheese and sour cream. Good luck with that, have fun at your party :)
For less stress on yourself in this busy season, I'd say go for canned. If I were in your situation, I'd see if dh wants to cook chili...if he does, great; if not, then canned it is. LOL!
Thanks for coming by my blog, BTW!
Either is fine. I have a real quick and yummy chili recipe if you want it call me! That reminds me Do you know how to make cheese sauce?
I think either one is fine too and no one is going to know is from a can if you bring it in a nice dish. I know how to make cheese sauce if your friend still needs a recipe.
I love chili so either is good. I do think homeade chili on a tater sounds odd, but it could be really yummy
